Our current relationships with London schools
Our current relationship with London schools and colleges is managed by the Widening Participation Office and the Marketing Department – the Schools and Colleges Liaison team.
Widening Participation (WP) Office
The WP Office runs visits and activities primarily for schools and colleges in the six west London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. As part of the WECAN Aimhigher Partnership it also engages to a lesser degree with institutions in central and north London local authorities. Activities for learners in Years 6 to 13 range from campus visits to subject-specific workshops, IAG sessions and masterclasses.
Brunel is a partner institution to the Crest Academies, London Borough (LB) of Brent, and Harefield and Stockley Academies in LB Hillingdon.
PGCert students undertake placements in schools across Greater London and the home counties.

Marketing Department – Schools and Colleges Liaison team
The team works with sixth-form students throughout London and the UK to encourage them to consider higher education and also to outline what Brunel University has to offer. We run the University’s undergraduate Open Days and Campus Tours and assist with visit days for applicants. We attend Higher Education fairs to talk to prospective students and parents and go into schools/colleges or deliver on-campus sessions for students wanting to find out more about preparing for and applying to university. We also oversee the Brunel Podcasts for prospective students and offer a targeted STEM programme for Yr 9 students.
