DCSF Grant to London Higher
In July 2008 the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) launched the London Challenge document 'Vision for London 2008-2011 – London Education on the way to world class' which included two HE pledges that by 2011:
- Every maintained secondary school in London will have a partnership with a HEI
- A higher proportion of young Londoners will go on to HE, including the most competitive universities.
In October 2008 London Higher successfully applied to the DCSF for grant funding to support the DCSF in the delivery of School and Higher Education Links in London (SHELL).
In order to meet the above two pledges London Higher will prepare a delivery plan for DCSF by Easter 2009.
