Goldsmiths, University of London

image of Goldsmiths

Goldsmiths, University of London was originally established to provide educational opportunities for local people over 100 years ago. Building on this tradition, we welcome many students from across the world to our lively campus in south east London. Goldsmiths buzzes with energy. With talented, enthusiastic people from different cultures and backgrounds, the College atmosphere is diverse and exciting.

We became part of the University of London in 1904, and we are proud to be part of an internationally renowned institution. Our setting is urban and busy, but not far from the green parks of Greenwich or the free art at Tate Modern.

There are over 6,400 undergraduate and postgraduate students from a variety of different backgrounds creating a warm and close-knit student community. There is a wide range of events going on throughout the year, ranging from the excellent events programme run by our Students' Union, to degree shows by Arts and Design students, music concerts, media screenings, and theatre performances.

Our current relationships with schools
Goldsmiths has extensive links with schools and colleges through our academic departments, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including PGCEs. Our outreach work with schools is managed by the Widening Participation team and the Recruitment team.

We offer a range of campus tours, summer schools, taster days and applicant days as well as more provision to prepare students for university applications and to support schools in raising attainment. We have a large team of Student Ambassadors who support our activities. For further information please visit:
