Our current relationships with London schools
Our current relationship with schools and colleges is managed through the Education Liaison Team and the Student Recruitment & Events Team. Initial information and details on all activities from Year 5 to post-application visit days can be found on our schools and colleges website:

The Education Liaison Team offers a wide variety of activities to our key schools in our widening participation/Aimhigher programme, to which the University has a strong commitment. These include aspiration and awareness raising sessions, an Aimhigher Sports Summer School, Maths & English GCSE revision as well as Study Skills workshops and writing UCAS statements.
The Student Recruitment & Events team co-ordinate undergraduate Open Days throughout the year as well as online events and attendance at HE Fairs.
We run a Compact Scheme with our partner schools and colleges which has 500 places available each year:

The University has a Care Leavers Scheme (including a £1000pa bursary) to support students leaving local authority care to come to the University. We were one of the original six universities to be awarded the Frank Buttle Trust Quality Mark in 2006 and this has recently been renewed for a further three years. For further information please contact Jayne Clanfield:

Involvement in wider programmes
We work very closely with Aimhigher London South on many of our activities. This year we are running the Aimhigher Associates Scheme. We are also running the TDA Student Associate Scheme. All details can be found at:

Other partnerships that enable us to deliver our educational liaison activities more effectively include working with local councils to:
• Target certain groups of students
• Contribute to issues by being active members of local 14-19 partnership groups
• Link up Kingston University London with relevant local diploma providers to assist with development of the qualification and progression routes.
We are the host of the South London Lifelong Learning Network.
We are actively involved in their initiatives including Progression Agreements and Bridging Modules developed to encourage recruitment and participation from our partner further education colleges on to our undergraduate programmes.
We host an annual sixth form conference on World Issues in conjunction with educational charity The European Atlantic Movement (TEAM).
