Our current relationships with London Schools
Middlesex’s Education Liaison, Outreach and Aimhigher teams organise a range of events for schools such as Taster Days, Study Skills sessions, Competition Days and Summer Schools in different subjects as well as Open Days. These can be tailored to specific needs and can take place either on campus or in your School. With the assistance of our trained Student Ambassadors we deliver sessions which are fun, engaging and informative.
Skills for Success Programme: this supports students’ progression into higher education with workshops on important issues such as student finance and writing personal statements.
Student Associates Scheme: this places approximately 100 university students per year as teaching assistants in London schools.
Disability Support: we deliver award-winning mentoring support and on-campus 'Transition Schools' for disabled young people.
We offer support for parents, careers advisers and other education professionals so that they can advise students on their journey into and through higher education, such as guides and an annual careers conference.
Middlesex academics are at the forefront of the University’s work with London schools, delivering specialist subject sessions and talks in the classroom or on campus. Some recent examples are Digital Futures which are workshops showcasing different elements of IT study, and Future Ventures aimed at young entrepreneurs.
