WHAT WE DO
The Board Trustees meet at least four times a year (in January, April, June and October). Their role is to scrutinize the operations and finances of the charity, to give strategic direction to the organization and to otherwise advise and guide the Executive in their work. The Board frequentlyThe group aims to make the case for additional funding to ensure that London HEIs are able to compete with other regional providers on a level economic playing field. The value of this funding is over £60 million per annum. Areas of work include:
a) to scrutinize the operations and finances of the charity,
b) to give strategic direction to the organization and
c) to otherwise advise and guide the Executive in their work
The Board of Trustees is made up of Heads of Institution elected by their peers to reflect a representative sample of the diversity of HE provision in London. In addition there are co-opted individuals representing certain interests and stakeholders, such as the Chairs of London Medicine & Healthcare and AccessHE and the London Region Consultant from HEFCE.
Trustees Annual Report
Each year the Trustees submit their Annual Report to the Charities Commission and to Companies House. The report includes the audited accounts for the year together with a summary of activities and how theses have met the charitable objectives of the company. The Board also receives a quarterly progress and financial from the Executive.
