London’s HEIs sign up to COVID-19 Secure Charter

London Higher has today released its COVID-19 Secure Charter, a set of ten key principles that illustrate how HEIs’ across London are practically implementing safety measures at their institutions.

The Charter, compiled by a Task Group formed from HEIs across London and adopted by over 20 institutions, demonstrates the diversity and innovation in the ways in which London’s HEIs are preparing for a safe return to work and study, in the autumn.

Dr Ian Pickup, Chief Operating Officer, University of East London and Chair of the London Higher Safe Return to Work and Study Task group said;

“The London Higher COVID-19 Secure Charter demonstrates the variety of innovative ways in which London’s HEIs are looking to enable a safe return to work and study in the autumn term, with institutions across the Capital working toward the same principles and goals to achieve this.

The Charter demonstrates our common commitment to preparing campuses to be a safe, secure and also engaging learning environment, as we look forward in particular to welcoming new and returning students in the autumn.”
