Professor Amanda Broderick, Vice-Chancellor & President of University of East London, has today (8th March) been elected Chair-Elect of London Higher.
Professor Broderick was elected by London Highers’ members, representing over 40 higher education institutions across the capital. She will take up the role – which is unremunerated – in July, succeeding Professor Paul Layzell, Vice-Chancellor of Royal Holloway, University of London, who has chaired the organisation for the past four years.
As Chair, Professor Broderick will work alongside London Higher CEO Dr Diana Beech and the London Higher board – and will represent the interests of London’s higher education sector at this critical point for the UK.
She has previously led in and held professorships at the Universities of Newcastle, Salford, Durham, Coventry and Aston. Her research lies in the fields of international business, marketing psychology and strategic communications. Professor Broderick will take up the role as Chair following the London Higher AGM in July.
